Cosmetic Services

In addition to clinical and surgical dermatology, Dr. Kirby also offer a number of cosmetic services:

Dr. Will Kirby uses Gentle Wave. A form of LED photo modulation using a natural variable wave light to gently stimulate or inhibit cellular activity to reduce the signs of aging.

COMPLEXION ENRICHMENT:
From a sun-damaged forehead and dull cheeks to excessive oil and pigmentary concerns, our goal is to correct past damage, improve current problems and prevent future skin mistakes…in essence, to make you glow! Dr. Kirby offers a number of skin care regimens based on the specific needs of a particular patient.

LIP AUGMENTATION
As we age the lips thin greatly. Many wish they had the same fullness to their lips that they had in their 20s and 30s. Dr. Kirby uses a variety of fillers to create fuller, more luscious lips including Juvéderm and Cosmoplast. Typically, these products offer plumper lips for at least four to five months. Slight bruising and minimal discomfort are some of the common side effects associated with lip augmentation treatments.

BOTOX®
Botox injections are a simple, safe, and effective way to improve facial expression lines (frown lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet at the corner of the eyes, and forehead wrinkles). Botox injections are probably the most common cosmetic dermatological procedures Dr. Kirby performs. Many of these signs of aging are easily correctable with Botox. In most cases with results usually lasting three to four months.

FACIAL / WRINKLE FILLERS
A wide variety of injectable fillers are available today, providing a younger and more youthful appearance. Dr. Kirby can fill nearly any line, wrinkle, groove, or hollow appearing spot on the face including acne scars, nasal labial folds, and chicken pox scars with fillers including Restylane, Juvéderm, and Radiesse.

CHEMICAL/ POWER PEELS
Dr. Kirby uses many different types of chemical peels to improve skin clarity, minimize facial wrinkles, and treat acne scarring. Down time and discomfort varies greatly depending on which acid peel is utilized.

FACIAL BLOOD VESSEL TREATMENT
Vascular lesions, or blood vessels, are lesions most commonly found on the facial area, especially on or around the nose. Effective treatment of these vessels is performed with IPL and diode lasers. Most patients say that the discomfort is minimal with little downtime.

EAR LOBE REPAIR
Torn earlobes are a common patient presentation and occur for a variety of reasons. Repair of a torn earlobe occurs in Dr. Kirby’s office setting using a local anesthetic. The procedure consists of "freshening" the edges of the split and placement of stitches to complete the repair and reconstruct the lobes. The sutures are usually removed in seven days. Re-piercing can be done by Dr. Kirby three months after the earlobe repair.

FRECKLES & AGE SPOT REMOVAL
Two of the most common patient complaints are freckles and age spots. These lesions must be carefully evaluated to determine if any are cancerous or pre-malignant. Once it has been determined that they are benign, these annoying spots can be easily removed by excision, chemical peels, or laser treatment.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Even a few years ago it was very difficult to remove unwanted hair. Technology has improved greatly and now laser hair removal is an extremely effective way to remove unwanted hair. Now, men and women alike will be pleased with the results made possible by Dr. Kirby’s  laser hair removal technique.

LASER TATTOO  REMOVAL
As seen on E!'s top rated show, "Dr. 90210", Dr. Kirby uses the latest laser to remove tattoos and has published multiple articles on the subject of tattoo removal. Multiple treatments are needed to remove a tattoo with at least four weeks between treatments.
Surprisingly quick, laser treatments will help you get rid of that unwanted ink!

SPIDER & VARICOSE VEIN REMOVAL
Sclerotherapy is a highly successful treatment of spider and varicose veins. Dr Kirby injects a sclerosing solution into the vein through a very fine needle. A “flushing” of the vein occurs and then over a four to six week period the vein gradually fades away. It is possible to experience slight bruising at the sites of the injections. The number of treatments vary greatly with the severity of the spider veins. In most cases, about 75% of treated veins will respond over a period of three to four treatments.

KELOID & SCAR TREATMENT

Scars, whether they're caused by accidents or by surgery, are unpredictable. The way a scar develops depends as much on how your body heals as it does on the original injury or on the skills of the physician. Many variables can affect the scar including the depth of the wound, the blood supply, the color of your skin, severity and the direction of the scar. Dr. Kirby can often improve the appearance of a scar, making it less obvious through the injection or application of certain steroid medications or through surgical procedures known as scar revisions.
